Dr. Diane Grossman

About Diane

Dr. Grossman is Professor of Women’s and Gender Studies and Philosophy at Simmons University, Chair of the Philosophy Department, and Director of the Honors Program. Diane has also served as Director of Academic Advising, as an Associate Dean, and as Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences for ten years. She is the author of Existentialism and the Philosophical Tradition, Looking at Gay and Lesbian Life, and numerous articles and essays on ethics, feminist theory, and cultural studies. In addition, she has been part of a cross-disciplinary research team that studies girls’ and women’s perceived confidence and has published several articles on that subject.
