Abigail Bays

Executive Assistant to the CEO

Abby Bays brings over 10 years of experience to her role as Executive Assistant to Susan MacKenty Brady. Not only is she responsible for managing Susan’s busy schedule, but she is also the person behind the Institute’s social media platforms. Abby considers herself a “Jill-of-all-trades” for the Simmons University Institute for Inclusive Leadership. Abby always brings positive energy, a can-do attitude, and a little bit of humor to each day.

Originally from Shaker Heights, Ohio, Abby is a HUGE fan of musical theatre (she can definitely sweep the category in Jeopardy) and has seen over 600 Broadway, West End, and touring shows. She is an avid tennis player and a decent snowboarder. She loves to spend time with her family and friends in Vermont, especially her nieces and nephew. Abby lives right on the beach with her partner Adam and their rescue dog Bode.

Professional Experience

Prior to joining the Simmons University Institute for Inclusive Leadership, Abby spent two and half years as the Executive Assistant to the CEO & COO at Neurala, Inc, a start-up technology company focusing on Artificial Intelligence in Boston.

With a passion for the arts, she has worked as the Scheduler at The Dallas Opera, managing artists from all over the world’s schedule during the opera season.

Abby has been fortunate enough to work on numerous television shows, including two seasons as New Media Coordinator and Production Assistant for “How I Met Your Mother.” While at HIMYM she was responsible for managing the Robin Sparkles Fan Page.
