What is the date of this year’s event?

The conference is taking place on April 3, 2024. 

What time does the conference begin and end?

The conference begins at 9:00am EST and ends at 5:00pm EST. There is a 1-hour lunch break from 1:00pm – 2:00pm EST. We recommend you explore the agenda for complete details. 

Will the 2024 Conference be held in-person or virtually?

Both! The conference will be held in-person at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston; you can attend virtually from anywhere for a live-streamed, interactive event on April 3, 2024.  Can’t join us on the 3rd, access SLC45 through video-on-demand for 90 days post-event.

What is the ticket price for the event?

What is included in the ticket price?

Your ticket covers a full day of speakers, panel discussions, leadership insights, networking, and access to our exhibit hall on April 3, 2024. Enhance your experience with pre-event inspiration and community engagement online and video-on-demand access for 90-days post-event to catch anything you’ve missed.

How can I buy tickets for a group?

Are discounts available for group registrations?

For every group of 4 you register to attend online, you’ll receive 1 complimentary virtual ticket – a 20% savings!  In-person group discounts only apply to sponsorship packages. Please contact Tracie Charland, at tracie.charland@simmons.edu, to learn about volume pricing and group discounts.

What is your cancellation policy?

Tickets are non-refundable but completely transferable. Registration substitutions are allowed with the written permission of the original registrant. All transfers must be made by February 23, 2024.

Is this a women’s only event?

Not at all! We welcome allies of all genders and identities. Allyship is at the heart of our mission. We believe it’s time to call everyone into the conversation and invite them to help lead the way toward leadership equity and inclusion. 

What’s the theme this year?

Our 45th annual conference will explore the theme of Creating Impact as we empower women and their allies to Arrive & Thrive™ in today’s business landscape. We design the content to be ideal for both aspiring and accomplished leaders.

It is not required to sign up in advance, but we recommend you look at the agenda and plan your day in advance.

Will there be closed captioning for all sessions?

Yes, closed captioning is available for all sessions and can be accessed through a mobile device link provided on April 3rd.

For In-Person Attendees

Where is the in-person event being held?

Hynes Convention Center 900 Boylston Street, Boston

Where do I check in?

Attendees will check in at the SLC Registration Desk located on the 3rd floor of the Hynes Convention center.

What time does registration open?

Registration opens at 7:30am EST and is located in Boylston Hallway. Registration will close at 4:00pm EST.

Is there an option to pre-register or check-in early?

Yes! Early check-in is encouraged and occurs on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 from 5-6:30pm EST at The Colonnade Hotel in the Kenmore room.

What networking opportunities are there available for attendees?

The event includes two 25-minute networking breaks, scheduled from 10:35am-11:00am and from 3:35pm – 4:00pm EST, as well as a one-hour lunch break from 1:00pm-2:00pm and all attendee reception from 5:00pm – 5:45pm EST. We encourage attendees to utilize these networking breaks to visit the exhibit hall and connect with other participants and sponsors.

Is parking available at the event venue?

Yes, there are parking garages situated around the convention center. There is also metered parking available around the Hynes and adjacent streets on a first-come, first-serve basis.

What public transportation options are available?

The Hynes Convention Center is accessible via several bus routes and is just steps away from four subway stations: Hynes Convention Center, Copley, and Prudential on the Green line and Back Bay on the Orange line.

Is there a dress code?

While we do not have a formal dress code, we recommend attendees wear business-casual attire. For in-person attendees, we suggest you wear comfortable shoes.

Is there a nursing mothere’s space?

Yes, there is a small, private room with capacity for up to one person at a time and is furnished with a refrigerator. Attendees can access the room by obtaining the key from the SLC Concierge Desk. 

What food and beverages will be available during the event?

Food & beverage will be offered throughout the day with a full breakfast starting at 7:30am EST, followed by light fare during our morning and afternoon breaks and a lunch sponsored by Point32 Health from 1:00pm EST – 2:00pm EST.  We also invite all in-person attendees to join us for a reception directly following the event from 5:00pm EST – 6:00 EST pm where a light fare and beverages will be offered.  

Do you offer a vegan/vegetarian/gluten-free option?

Certainly, there are options available to accommodate vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free preferences. All items will be clearly labeled for easy identification. If you have any dietary restrictions, we suggest including this information on the registration form. If you inadvertently left it out, please reach out to baonhia.moua@simmons.edu  at least 2 weeks before the event.

Is there free Wifi at the venue?

Yes, Free Wireless is available in all conference areas. The information to gain access will be provided at your table.

Are there charging stations available?

Yes, charging stations are available in Renewal Lounge A and B on either side of the Boylston Hallway. 

What if I need special accommodations?

Contact our concierge Bao Nhia Moua in advance of the event at baonhia.moua@simmons.edu to discuss options for any special needs. 

Does the venue have gender neutral bathrooms?

Absolutely, we have gender neutral bathrooms throughout the third floor at the Hynes Convention Center. 

Will authors be offering in-person book signings?

Yes, book signings will be in the Boylston Hallway in front of 307. Signing events are scheduled during our morning and afternoon networking breaks and offered as time allows. We encourage you to purchase your books at our bookstore onsight ahead of the break time so you are sure not to miss our fabulous authors.

Is there a bookstore on-site?

Yes, there will be a bookstore onsite 7:30am EST – 6:00pm EST in the Boylston Hallway.  This bookstore is provided by Trident Booksellers and Cafe and will feature mainstage and breakout speakers from the 2024 conference as well as past conference speakers. 

What should I bring?

Reusable water bottle (refill stations are available in the Ballroom and inside meeting rooms), small tote, and tablet or smartphone to interact with the platform.

Is there a coat/luggage check available?

Yes, there is a designated room for attendees to place their belongings.

No! This is a captivating and dynamic space filled with numerous chances to interact, converse, and establish connections with fellow participants.

What is a virtual watch party?

A watch party or virtual screening event is an organized session where a group of people – either colleagues, agencies and clients, or even friends – come together virtually to view the live streamed event on April 3rd.  A virtual watch party enables you to create a shared space for impactful discussions, fostering connections, sharing diverse perspectives, and building engagement and community.
